New files do not open sometimes

• Installation:
  • Fedora 42
  • v2.0.0 release AppImage
• Observed behavior:
  • When I have a PDF already open in Sioyek and try to open another by double-clicking it in my Files window, the 2nd file does not open properly.
  • Specifically, it seems to open an "empty" or "blank" window. See the attached screenshot. The item at the bottom is the PDF that was already opened. The item at the upper left is the 2nd PDF that is not opening properly.
• Expected behavior: When you try to open another PDF after the 1st, it should open properly.
• Steps to reproduce: I wish I could describe a way to reproduce this issue, but, one of the main features of it is that it happens intermittently!

Troubleshooting ideas

• How can I tell exactly what version of Sioyek I am using?
• How can I get diagnostics about what is happening when I try to open a PDF? (say, opening the PDF from the command line, instead)

Thanks for your response! As far as I could tell, I believe I was using the 2.0.0 release AppImage. I backed up my database files, uninstalled the old version, and installed the alpha you linked above. Since I could not find steps to reproduce the issue before, I'll only be able to find out if this fixes the issue by waiting a while and seeing if it happens again. I made a reminder to report back in a month!

After regular use for a month, I have not observed this behavior with the version 3 alpha linked above. I defer to you whether you want to consider this issue closed. Thank you for your help!
