If AI doesn’t suggest my content, my traffic get worse

I hate them training LLM with my data, and I hate e junk produced by AI. but I do want them to suggest my content to the end users.

Thought years later people will use AI to search everything instead of legacy search engines.

Many user find my website through asking AI. If I (or others websites recommending my content) simply block them my traffic will get worse.

Any idea?

Sounds like you do not want to block AI agents, so best not to use this project.

@RiverTwilight before search engines, via in-person interaction businesses, articles, and books were recommended via something called "word of mouth". The way it works is that somebody sees your thing, and if they think it's interesting they tell other people about it.

In the modern day, they might do that by posting about it, or sending the link via eamil / chat too, though we still call it "word of mouth".

I agree. But the answer from AI may also a word of mouth, I guess? If everyone's blog blocked AI agent this can harm good stuff spread. After all, many people do trust AI nowadays.

People post on SNS but many AI are unable to get their data such as X or instagram yet.

cc @glyn - I meant no offense to this project and I love it, but I want to find a way to get benefits from AI's words while blocking them train models with our content.

AI, definitionally, can't be "word of mouth", because it doesn't have an opinion, let alone a qualified opinion. It doesn't understand the person it's recommending the article to. The point of word of mouth is not just that you trust the recommender, but that the recommender knows you and is able to make decisions accounting for not only their taste, but your own.

Also, I can't imagine why you'd "trust" AI, when there's no automated mechanism in place to fact check its results. Your only choice is to go and do the fact check yourself, which itself is becoming more and more difficult as search engines get packed full of non-fact checked AI results, and the index fills with non-factual word-salad SEO'ed articles on other sites.

@glyn makes a good point though - If your thesis is "I want to be involved in the AI thing", you shouldn't deploy anti-AI measures.

AI Never suggest any ones content - It wants it for theys own models! And wants your CONTENT TO WRITE NEW. Ai is a computer/server not a human.
