Updating Status: Too slow?

Hi! So just connected to my previous question:

So, I am now able to add my streaming rich presence with a custom status. However, I have a function which cycles through an array of statuses which increments a count variable and loops the function after sleeping at the end for 8 seconds.

The reason why I have set it to 8 seconds is because it only shows the new status every 8 seconds. I don't know if this is due to a rate limitation on Discord's end. But, If I do it with the client and change it several times, it is literally instant.

Any idea why?

The desired outcome:

A quick, always changing status like a plugin in BetterDiscord.
Example: status1: H -> status2: HE -> status3: HEY

rate limit is 20 seconds / 4 status updates
on the app, when you use the bd plugin, you can see it right away
in fact, for others, they still see the delay

Ahhh, this explanation is bit better. I didn't quite understand the 4 / 20 in the documentation. I also wanted to clarify, is it completely fine that I am looping:

client.user.setPresence()

as a way to update the status? Or would you recommend a better way around this? I am aware of the setInterval method as shown in a previous discussion. However, I am just asking if it will genuinely make any difference or not.
