Process a json object instead of array

instead of returning

{key: a, prop1: 1, prop2: 2},
{key: b, prop1: 3, prop2: 4}
]

the api returns

{
a: {prop1: 1, prop2: 2},
b: {prop1: 3, prop2: 4}
]

how do i support this in connection builder ui?
