mdk4 deauth speeds

I'm using mdk4 on a Raspberry Pi 0w with Tp-Link Archer t2u Nano (2.4 and 5Ghz) USB

When running mdk4 with the d option, the packets per second speed rarely exceeds 16 Packets per second, is there any way of speeding up the deauthentication?

have the same issue on raspberry. it works fine with 2.4, but so slow with 5ghz
