Required argument + required argument with passthrough confusion

Hello,

i have the following code in which i want to pass a name and a command that will be exec'ed. I want it to fail if the Name argument is not passed but it doesnt work as i thought it would.

type CLI struct {
	Name string   `arg:"" help:"Name." required:""`
	Cmd  []string `arg:"" help:"Path to binary and any options" required:"" passthrough:""`
}

func main() {
	var cli CLI

	kong.Parse(&cli)

	fmt.Println("Name:", cli.Name)
	fmt.Println("Cmd:", cli.Cmd)
}

this works as expected:

$ mybinary the_name -- echo "hello"
Name: the_name
Cmd: [echo hello]

But I was expecting that if i failed to pass the Name argument i would get an error but i dont:

$ mybinary -- echo "hello"     
Name: echo
Cmd: [hello]

I seem to be able to achieve this with a flag, but im curious if this behaviour can be achiaved with a argument (as that seems more correct).

I'm not 100% sure where the confusion lies, but FWIW -- and required:"" don't have any relationship. You'll need to use a flag if you want users to have to enter some kind of explicit signal.
