How to use with "electron-windows-store"

So, after failing to submit many times a package generated by MSIX Packaging Tool, I try to create apx package, but no luck.
It should be very straightforward:

electron-windows-store --input-directory C:\myelectronapp  --output-directory C:\output\myelectronapp --package-version 1.0.0.0 --package-name myelectronapp

but, I do not understand what to use as input-directory.

I tried various paths, but all the time I got errors, like these:

MakeAppx : error: 0x80080204 - The specified package format is not valid: The package manifest is not valid.

The answer is not to use that tool and use appx format.
