Make signal names less opaque

I've gotten a project to work with AXI4 and AXI4-Stream records at top-level, but one of the things that I needed to do in order to make it work, was to replace every instance of the names fields referenced by the available tools with the name we use internally. Changing the names list in the constructor was not enough.
