Solis-HA-Modbus-Cloud In Parallel Configuration Plus Additional String

Hi, can't see this being asked before so would appreciate some advice - thank you in advance!....
I have 2 x S6-EH1P5K-L in Master-Slave configuration (Parallel), with 6x Duracell Dura 5 (30kw) as one block. 25 panels x 0.4kw in to this via 2 strings (1 to each). These each have an S4-WIFI-ST (USB)
I also have 1 x S6-GR1P3.6K string inverter in the garage with 7 x 0.4kw panels and a S3-WIFI-ST using the port that "talks" RS485
We have managed to get a waveshare POE device working via the Master inverto RS485 port. But, whilst it shows the correct battery SOC, it is only showing the Master PV generation in HA. This config is in a parallel setup (master - slave) and also has a whole home back up set up (we are in UK) - so I have (rightly or wrongly) turned on the MPPT Parallel button in "Solis Modbus Integration for Home Assistant" - am I missing something or should I expect to only see the Master PV generation and not the slave with one Waveshare - despite the Slave being connected to the Master and sending data over so the master manages the batteries etc.
I believe, looking on the forum and the wiring diagrams etc, I need a further waveshare for the Slave. Possibly one for the batteries ? But, for the string inverter, do I need a further 2, and then have the datalogger (S3-WIFI-ST) connected to that to get the sting data incorporated into a high level HA view that shows all the 3 inverters data in one place.
Apologies if this is a question that is too simple, but I am new to HA, but would like to get the full picture of what my solar installation is doing, hence having to make sure I have the correct waveshares installed.

Hi, of course - I have just mocked up roughly how it looks (I have ignored the connections to the grid supply & load, and also the home back up connections as I don't think relevant here).

In theory, you could connect all inverters via RS485 chain and each would need their unique Modbus Slave ID and use only one Waveshare for all inverters. That is only if you could amend that Slave ID on the inverter, which is possible on older (pre-usb) models. Otherwise, you may need Waveshare per inverter.

However, your batteries are managed by the inverter, unless you want to monitor them seperately, then it will need another Waveshare module.

@Dilbertdog for the inverter with the S3-WIFI-ST you need to follow my project to have it reporting to both, cloud and HA.

Currently, I am on holiday having a pint of Super Bock and can't make it sound reasonable without drafting a simple diagram. It would be much easier if all your inverters were the same type as this would be dead easy to achieve.

Yep makes sense - follow existing instructions on the string inverter and then hopefully daisy chain the two inverters (master and slave) as slave has its own ID. I will give that a try and report back - many thanks for coming back to me - really helpful :-)

Update is that daisy chaining the master and slave did not work, and I have purchased an additional waveshare, so now have one for the master, and one for the slave.
All now working in this configuration for the master and slave.
The next task is to add additional waveshares as per your diagrams, to get the string inverter connected to HA.

That's great to hear @Dilbertdog

It's worth noting that Solis has USB to 4-PIN converter (and vice versa) cables if needed. However, if you are happy to use the Ethernet port method, the above converter may not be required.

Thanks for the useful info - I have an exceedconn connector which I need to solder up, as the string inverter has a Solis data logger using the 4pin connector. Unfortunately my soldering skills are not great !
