Daily updates of PearCleaner → Weekly updates?

I'm grateful that the app PearCleaner is developed. Thank you for that!

But the last couple of weeks I get daily updates. As I want to archive the latest installer, I need to do this every day.

Would it be an idea to scheme these on for example Fridays? Every Friday a new version? Like the dev of Calibre did for years?

Have you tried changing the updater frequency to something besides Daily in Settings > Update tab?

I don't know what to tell you 🤷🏻. I don't work around other updater apps, I have a frequency setting in my own updater that I support.

There's a reason for the constant updates recently. I'm trying to get the homebrew and updater views working without issue as they're in beta. There's a community effort where a lot of users are reporting issues for me and I work on them. Some I consider breaking so I have to push out an update for that change asap.

It's funny 😆, people complain when devs stop pushing out regular updates calling the apps abandonware and they also complain when there's too many updates. Just can't win..

Anyways, to summarize, my app provides a frequency setting. I can't account for every external updater app out there, I'm sorry.

No problem, will make adjustments here then. But pushing out updates once a week already is quite frequently! Even extremely frequently. Let alone every day :)

I guess a fixed day in the week of updating would give you are more relaxed way of working. And would also be predictable for your users. But that's up to you of course!

Whatever, keep up the good work. Was pleasantly surprised with the updating feature!
