Hi all!

I think this project might benefit from setting up a regular call where we come together on a videocall and try to collectively make some plans about how to push this project forwards (both: what direction, and also practically how).

Just to get the ball rolling I'm going to propose a time and place for a first one, with the understanding that these should collectively decided going forwards so as to suit a broader range of people (time zones/frequency/platforms etc.):

• September 8th, 1500 CEST (Google cal invite)

The cost of me just picking a random time is that some folks who would like to join won't be able to - if you can't, reply below with some general (un)availability schedules and we'll prioritise scheduling the next one(s) at times to suit those who this one doesn't suit.

I'm purposefully writing this here rather than in https://github.com/all-contributors/maintainers/discussions because I feel like there might be some folks following along who aren't in that repo but who would be very keen to get involved, and I want to keep the net wide for now.

hey @da5nsy I think that sounds great. That time is 7am for me, which is my early morning, before-work time (sometimes my only chance to get out all day). Would you be able to make the time a bit later? Or is that super late for you?I am in the US.

Hi @lwasser - unfortunately I can't do later that day, and I'm keen to stick to the current day in case others have already made plans.

It'd be great if you could join but I totally understand if not - we'll make sure to take good notes to share!

But knowing that this is so early for you let's definitely prioritise doing the next one later in the day. Perhaps you'd like to propose a date/time for the next one already?

Ok great. I think it would be good to find a time based on everyone's time zone that works rather than my suggesting a time that only works for me! Calendar syncing is hard.

Perhaps you hold that meeting on Monday and we figure out who wants to attend and what time slots generally work for folks next.

@da5nsy thank you for organizing this! 🙌🏻 !! So for me - and looking at Jim's schedule - Fridays are also bad and Mondays are just hard as I have standing meetings and weekend catch-up on Mondays. I am in Mountain time, so I think I'm about 7 hours behind you both (if you both are in the UK).

• Wednesday morning works great for me. sometimes i have a 11-1pm block of meetings. that varies.
• Thursday is normally a flexible day for me

I can do a tuesday here and there but i try to carve out tuesday as a no meeting day to focus and get work done. I hope that helps. Thank you again!!

I think finding a way to synchronise would be good. Especially as we are all learning about the project.

I'm pretty sure I'll be travelling at that time. Mondays at about that time will occasionally clash with other regular meetings I have, but it isn't impossible.

Yes, as long as I have time to pack up my stuff at the office and walk to the event at ~4:50pm.

YAY!! If it's helpful, I can answer questions about DNS and documentation at any time if we want to fill in gaps there. We have a plan now 🚀 . We have a great documentation team and are going to open up some issues so others can get involved as they wish!!

However, we haven't discussed the core tooling at all, and that would be beneficial if someone wanted to identify what work needs to happen there too. Thank you again for this @da5nsy ✨

Fab! I would love to hear about the DNS stuff - is this documented somewhere? If not - where shall we document it?

Let's definitely do some documentation! I was trying to figure out where is the best place to post updates? @da5nsy, what's been happening is that we have a few email threads with the one maintainer who doesn't respond on GitHub but has access to the DNS, Netlify, etc! So this is all in email and in my head. Where do you think it would be good to post the current status of things? I want everyone to feel included, involved and able to contribute if they have bandwidth! ✨

I want to add docs on our documentation infrastructure, as that is fixed. But the DNS and such will definitely change, I think, as we move to GitHub Pages. All suggestions for a streamlined communication chain / one place to look we welcome. I could start a new discussion once every week or two with an update in the maintainers' corner as an idea?

I think whenisgood etc are good when there is a simple situation but I think here we might need some conversation-level nuance, for now at least (hopefully not once things are rolling): e.g. we want to prioritise @Berkmann18, and they're mainly available in the evenings, but I assume (let's talk about it in-person) that myself and @JimMadge would prefer to keep scheduled meetings within work hours etc etc

Hopefully everyone is available on the evening (UK time) of the 18th and then we're good to go.
