the appearance panel has lots of scrolling going on #315

Use Case
In the left hand Appearance Panel, when channel settings are open there is lots of up/down scrolling to keep changing things.
Q: is this concern for moving between channels themselves? or for moving between channels and the other ui features above the channels?
Solution
unknown. one possibility is to at least make the Channels section a separate dockable widget so that it is scrolled independently of the other appearance settings.
