"Illegal Instruction" when trying to run virtual_webcam.py

Hi all,
When I try to run virtual_webcam.py I keep getting the error "Illegal Instruction". That's literally all it says. I checked my virtual device and video device settings in config.yaml and switched them around a little and keep getting the same error no matter what settings I have. My config.yaml looks like this:

segmentation_threshold: 0.75
blur: 3
erode: 10
dilate: 10
virtual_video_device: "/dev/video2"
real_video_device: "/dev/video1"
average_masks: 3
mjpeg: False
- layers:
  - input: [["blur", 10]]
  - foreground: []

Anyone experienced something similar or have any ideas?

You're probably using a tensorflow version that was built for a CPU that has instructions that your CPU does not support.

Thanks for your response. The TensorFlow website does say, "Starting with TensorFlow 1.6, binaries use AVX instructions which may not run on older CPUs. " The AVX wikipedia page says, "Not all CPUs from the listed families support AVX. Generally, CPUs with the commercial denomination "Core i3/i5/i7/i9" support them, whereas "Pentium" and "Celeron" CPUs don't." I have an intel i5 680... which should be supported. Could this be related to CUDA?

Try tensorflow-cpu and see if it works.

You can also force using CPU with the environment variable
