Different use cases of maps

In our group we tried to define the different use cases for maps, here's our starter point:

• information (where something is)
• wayfinding (how to get there)
• data visualisation
• geographic boundaries (things you can find on a map)

We also discussed that there are different ways to retrieve information:

• static — the information is presented on the map
• interactive — the user identifies an area (drawing a boundary, etc) to find information about that area
