Description of the issue

We are seeing some layout shift within Date Input in certain scenarios on iPad. This issue only happens on physical devices as long as screen recording is not active.

We could reproduce this issue with and without Safari extensions enabled.

This issue was already reported to the NHS.UK frontend repo: nhsuk/nhsuk-frontend#1227

Steps to reproduce the issue

1. Go to the date input example: https://design-system.service.gov.uk/components/date-input/date-of-birth/index.html
2. Type 12 in the Day input
3. Delete the contents of the Day input
4. Type 1 in the Day input

Actual vs expected behaviour

The input boxes should not shift.
