How to use alpinejs and jquery.inputmask together?

Hello!
I have markup like this:

<input 
    x-model="name" 
    type="text" 
    id="book-user" 
    class="form-control form-icon-trailing" 
    x-on:input="handleInputUser(this)" 
/>

The handleInputUser function works as expected.

But if I hang jquery.inputmask.js on this field like this:

$(document).ready(function () {
    $("#book-user").inputmask({ 
        regex: "[A-Za-zа-яёА-ЯЁ][-' A-Za-zа-яёА-ЯЁ]{1,48}" 
    });
});

The handleInputUser function is not called. Need your help!
