Help with component

Hi,
I am still very much a beginner and I've found this useful component Card Search Component and I'm just wondering what changes would need to be made in order for it to work with the latest version of Alpine as the example uses 2.X.X instead of 3.X.X as I have noticed that in CodePen when playing around it did not work correctly.

I may have easily missed the solution. Thanks in advance.
