My issues were closed, 🔒 locked, converted to discussions and reopened. The discussions can't be found.

@ADTC sorry, there's something wrong with GitHub, I don't know why it didn't create the discussions.

For reference:
We convert issues to discussions as we are now using discussions to track bugs and ideas.
See this announcement for more details #1423

I'll unlock the issues for now, and try to convert them to discussions again later.

@joshhanley try adding a dummy template. (example but remove unnecessary parts).

You can put the description: as "Don't create issues. Use Discussions tab."

Have some notices. No text inputs (or one text input if it doesn't work without any).

Then also have a required checkbox stating "I have read this notice and I understand I should be using Discussions. But I still want to create an Issue here."

(You can maybe test it on a private repo first.)

Also btw, you can have links to the specific category in config.yml.

The "New Discussion" button opens in the same category as well, without asking which category. This will be faster for those who already know what category it should be.

And there could be "See All Discussions" pointing to https://github.com/alpinejs/alpine/discussions.

I would not use https://github.com/alpinejs/alpine/discussions/new?category=1-help though because showing existing discussions encourages people to search first.

@ADTC thanks! Yep we had that all set up doing exactly that and was working up until a few days ago. I’m guessing GitHub have updated the format of the template and we just need to update ours to match.
