Add MSI MPG B850I Edge TI Wifi motherboard support for ALC4080

The MSI MPG B850I Edge TI Wifi motherboard only plays sound out of the rear i/o panel auxiliary port. I do not see any way to activate the rear optical output or the front auxiliary port.

Here is my alsa-info, and the device ID is below:

$ lsusb | grep Audio
Bus 001 Device 004: ID 0db0:d4fa Micro Star International USB Audio

This looks like a similar issue to issue 172, except this time d4fa needs to be added to the 0db0 regex for ucm2/USB-Audio/USB-Audio.conf for ALC4080 support.

I do have the same motherboard and use the optical output of the mainboard (SPDIF)

Currently I do not have such an issue. ALl outpunts work as expected. I am using DEBIAN13.1 but not with the latest UCM, since the latest UCM cause the onboard soundchip to not being recognised anymore by the OS.

Added 0db0:d4fa to USB-Audio.conf in 5578609 . You may give a try.

Just a quick question:
ChatGPT told me, that Debian Linux could possibly overwrite/revert files.

Therefore ChatGPT advised to do this command in order to keep that file untouched

dpkg-divert --add --rename
--divert /usr/share/alsa/ucm2/USB-Audio/USB-Audio.conf.debian
/usr/share/alsa/ucm2/USB-Audio/USB-Audio.conf

Maybe this is woth checking it.

Just wanted to add, that the alsa-ucm files from Nov 2025 work totally fine.

I have tested it several times on my Debian 13 ( Linux debian 6.12.63+deb13-amd64 #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Debian 6.12.63-1 (2025-12-30) x86_64 GNU/Linux )

I would like to upload it here but cannot.

I would advise on using the alsa-ucm fomr Nov 2025 and then of course:

systemctl stop alsa-state
rm /var/lib/alsa/asound.state
systemctl start alsa-state

I am not sure, if this case should be kept open.
