Anyone tested the community version of CrowdSec on Amazon Linux 2023?

Has anyone installed and run the free community version of CrowdSec on AWS Linux 2023? Fail2ban is in the EPEL repository, and while I found some discussion, no clear answer on if or how this will work on AWS Linux 2023.

If anyone has implemented a Fail2ban alternative, please share as well.

I've built fail2ban in Fedora COPR and use it without issues. Here is a repo I've built:

Most packages have been added directly from Fedora. Others like gdu are built from the developer's github.

The RPM installs (no unresolved dependencies) and works okay:
