I'm looking for clarification regarding the TacticalRMM license as I prepare to begin offering managed IT/support services. I am not currently operating as an MSP, but I am in the process of building toward that model and have a prospective first customer. I would like to make sure my intended use of TacticalRMM complies with the license before I begin managing customer devices. My intended setup would be:
My reading of the license is that this falls under the provision permitting the hosting and use of TacticalRMM to monitor and manage "in-house networks/systems and/or customer networks/systems," rather than the restrictions concerning making TacticalRMM itself or its functionality available as a commercial service. Could you please confirm whether the use described above is permitted under the standard TacticalRMM license without obtaining separate prior written approval? I would also appreciate clarification on a related but separate scenario: If, in the future, I were to give a paying customer a restricted TacticalRMM account that allowed them to view and/or remotely access only their own managed devices, at no additional charge as part of their existing IT service plan, my understanding is that this would constitute making TacticalRMM functionality available to a third party as part of a commercial service and therefore would require prior written approval from AmidaWare. Is that interpretation correct? Finally, if I later hire employees directly into my business, can those employees use my company's TacticalRMM instance to manage our customers' devices under the same permitted use, without each employee requiring separate authorization? Thank you for helping me clarify these points. |

As long as it is 1 instance for your business and you are not 1 instance = 1 customer you are fine. Paying/free does not change any of this. Selling trmm to customer is the big no no except if you have a re-seller agreement with amidaware. |

You can give access to clients to your trmm it is fine access policies are there for that reason.
