I live in Hawaii. I work all over my state. Furthermore, the drive to my airport (only about a 20 minute drive) can see 4 or more different kinds of weather.
As such, I may want to have 6 or more locations stored in the weather app.
Might I suggest that on a schedule, the app would update all "Priority" locations in the app. We could maybe add 3-4 "Priority" locations and these would automatically get updated. (In my case, that may be Near my home, Near my airport, the other major city on this island, and the other Major Airport I frequent)
Any Non-priority could be updated upon selection, but data would stay until it expires (see below) and would not update unless it is selected again OR the app is open and still on said Non-Priority location.
What would this schedule be?
- When the app is opened
- 30-60 minutes (settings controlled)
- Switching between locations DOES NOT delete the previous data.
a. so If I have it on Site A and switch to Site B, Site A's data stays unless it expires (the 30-60 minutes runs out) or it is manually refreshed.
b. Non-Priority would stay too until it expires, but only updates when selected.
4, When you select a stored location (one that has already been downloaded), it loads the local information with a "As of xx:yy on ZZ/AA/BB" label to show us how old that pull was.
