I use an AppleScript alternative for this functionality. It doesn't
move the file to Dropbox, but it does work on multiple files and paste
the last file's Dropbox URL into the current document. Being
QS-centric, I generally move files around with Quicksilver anyway, and
the new location pops right back into pane 1.

Put your Public folder path and Dropbox id as values for the first 2
properties in the script. Save it using AppleScript Editor in
~/Library/Application Support/Quicksilver/Actions/ and relaunch QS.

Go to the place where you want to paste the URL. Select a file or files
from the Public Folder in QS's pane 1, tab to pane 2 and find the
script Action (I called mine Dropbox public link) and press enter. The
URL(s) will be copied to the clipboard and the last one will be pasted.

Ooh. This is really cool. I just added it to my actions folder.

The Python script above theoretically places multiple URLs on the
clipboard, but I haven't gotten it to work yet.

Lion hides ~/Library by default. You can get there by going to Go > Go
to folder... in the Finder menu, and then typing "~/Library". Then
you can put the workflow in the Services folder.

Alternatively, you can open
[Terminal.app](http://Terminal.app "Terminal.app")
and paste this command to unhide the Library folder: "chflags nohidden
~/Library/"

Actually I found the solution like 7 seconds after posting. I just
needed to double click the files, and it imported by itself (and created
the directories, while at it). Indeed, I was on a fresh Lion install and
the Services folder didn't exist.

I'm on Lion as well and haven't seen any problems. I have noticed,
though, that it takes like 10 seconds for the workflow to process on
Lion, so you might be trying to paste the URL prematurely? I'm not sure
though...

Sorry about that! Dropbox killed their official wiki at the end of
November, but some responsible internet citizens resurrected the thing
and have moved all its content elsewhere. I've update the post with a
