Some devices are not correctly detected on Windows 10/11

Hi,
I use this library for a service cassette tape (and reel-to-reel) software (https://github.com/cedricp/tapetools). It worked well since I recently got issues with some devices (USB, Remote software like Horizon). Audio cards are OK, though.
The problem seems to be in the refresh_devices in wsapi.c file, the device is recongnized, but fails when testing samplerates. I use MinGW32 to compile. On Linux, pluseaudio works like a charm.
It seems that this library is not maintained since a while, do you think I should swith to another one (that would be a big work for me) ?
Do you have any ideas ?

Here's where the problem is :
if (FAILED(hr = IAudioClient_GetMixFormat(rd.audio_client, (WAVEFORMATEX**)&rd.wave_format)))

the returned wave_format is not WAVE_FORMAT_EXTENSIBLE but WAVE_FORMAT_IEEE_FLOAT
