State of Vulkan support for RPI4

Sorry for writing here but I could not find another channel to get into contact.
I am wondering what the state for Android support on RPI4 is.
One thing I noticed is that currently Android extensions are not implemented in Mesa. Is this something that would help?

I am not sure what this link is supposed to tell me.

• What is meant by "Vulkan HAL" exactly. Is Vulkan acting as a HAL? Is there a HAL ontop of Vulkan?
• What is the main difference between external_mesa3d and upstream?
• Is Vulkan on Android working fine with the current extensions? Are there user reports around needing additional extensions (say Apps don't work without)?
• Is not having VK_KHR_android_surface a hinderance?
• Would wide colors via VK_EXT_swapchain_colorspace make sense?
