This plugin seems to be, on a regular basis, slower than most other queries:

The system is under low load both compute and database aren't seeing spikes during this time. Without enabling logging to disk (which is heavy and verbose and likely to slow down further), there's seemingly no way to assess what is causing this to slow down.
