Issue while Prep chem sources to make Emission Data

I am running ./prep_chem_sources_RADM_WRF_FIM.exe command but it giving me following error

/student/home/Burhan/Build_WRF/prep_chem/PREP-CHEM-SRC-1.5/bin/Global_emissions
_v3/Emission_data/biogenic_emissions/CO_BIO.TXT▒ - specie= CO
forrtl: No such file or directory
forrtl: severe (29): file not found, unit 11, file /student/home/Burhan/Build_WRF/prep_chem/PREP-CHEM-SRC-1.5/bin/Global_emissions_v3/Emission_data/biogenic_emissions/CO_BIO.TXT

What is the solution of said issue..Even in my above mentioned path i already have CO_BIO txt emssions and all other emission files

And one more thing i want to run Co2 dataset for the time of 1st March 2020 should i need global emisison data that i have or i need to do something else?

I want to download Global emissions data like 2020 to onward. From where i can download it because from this ftp "ftp aftp.fsl.noaa.gov" i got 2015 global emissions dataset but i need latest one. I also explored EDGAR website but no luck in this regard

You can test it by disabling biogenic emissions to see if it works or not. If your purpose is urban air pollution originating from industrial activities, you don't have to include biogenic emissions.

According to my latest information, there is no newer version for global emissions data. You can use global emissions for the recent years, assuming that the emissions did not change significantly.

but its data is about the year of 2000 that i checked it..can i use excel or nc file format in prep chem to make emission dataset because i want to process data of 2020 of co2 and also i need to create boundary by using mozbc or jsut can be use prep-chem

I got the emission dataset from EDGAR website but the thing is that it's emission is in Tonnes (unit) and i donot know what is the unit of global emission dataset of the year of 2000 that i have..I downloaded it from this source ftp aftp.fsl.noaa.gov

How i find the unit because i searched from internet and it is saying that 2000 data is in kg/m²/s (kilograms per square meter per second) unit but when it converts it into tomes and vice versa then values are not matching

Hi,
One approach you can take to handle this issue, is to create your emissions files, using prep_chem or other tools, and then, modify these emissions files to convert their unit to kg/m²/s.

I created emissoioin files (wrffirechemi_d01, wrfchemi_d01, wrfchemi_gocart_bg_d01) and after conversioin of emission file (by using command ./convert_emiss.exe) i ran the ./wrf.exe file then i got wrfout_d01_2020-03-01_00:00:00 file but when i view by uisng ncview then it does not show any occurance on the NcView. I am also attaching screenshot please have a look

I followed your YouTube Tutorial. That are really helpful.
I am a new wrf user. I am running wrf-chem for two days as a trial. When I run real.exe with chem_opt=0, then it is fine for two days.
But when I enable chem_opt then the only one day (initial day) is read and wrfout also has only that one day's output. I have used prep-chem-src to produce multiple days emissions files. But I do not know how to move forward with the whole process of rmultiple days. I can only do one day simulation with chemistry but not for multiple days.
Please help me with this.

P.S. I have WRF v4.5, and Prep-chem-src 1.5. I have generated met_em files. I have used Prep-Chem-Src for making emissions files. I can link those emission files with the wrf directory but I am stuck when it comes for multiple days in real.exe and wrf.exe runs.
What is the standard procedure for doing this?
Please help me in this regard.

Dear Dr. Nikfal,
I am using WRF-Chem 4.5. I am dealing with some trial data of two days. This tutorial (running ./real.exe with chem_opt enabled) works best for one day. However, when I have two days (two day's emission files from convert_emiss.exe). Then how can I choose which day for running .real.exe (with chem_opt enabled).
Because if I am dealing with two days then I have timestamped output from convert_emiss.exe but ./real.exe does not read that timestamped outputs. How to deal with it?
Please let me know. Thank you!

Hi. As far as I remember, there must be a variable which can be used to set the number of frames for the emissions data. so after reaching to the end of the frame number, the model tries to read the next emissions data.

The FTP has no problem and is working. You've must made a mistake accessing the data. The emissions data has a large size and I cannot send it here.
