Namespaces. This is a toml table mapping namespace prefixes to XML namespaces. Example:
xml = "http://www.w3.org/XML/1998/namespace"
xsd = "http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
xlink = "http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink"
tei = "http://www.tei-c.org/ns/1.0"

The overwhelming majority of elements in our TEI corpora have the namespace abbreviated as tei above.
However, the editem corpora each have a customised TEI schema in which elements may occur with a different namespace. E.g. in the mondriaan corpus there are elements with prefix md.

I think it would be nice to declare one of the namespaces as the default for the purpose of the configuration. It gets tedious to write

[[elements]]
path = "/tei:TEI/tei:teiHeader/tei:fileDesc/tei:titleStmt/tei:title"

instead of

[[elements]]
path = "/TEI/teiHeader/fileDesc/titleStmt/title"

A default namespace might be a good idea yes, analogous to the default set that is already implemented.

It might be even better to leave the default namespace out and just match namespace-agnostic if only a local-name was specified in the xpath expression) That has the same end-result I think (less verbose xpath expressions) and might even already be implemented, I'll have to add a test to make sure.
