Hey, I have recently been having stuttering issues and when I'm replaying my videos in Google photos, the time bar doesn't show up, and when I pause it starts from the beginning. I feel this is possibly codec related, but I have tried both HEVC and AVC, both do the same thing, recording 4k 60fps, same settings as I was using before, and everything was fine, but updated and now it stutters and hitches in video, even when played through VLC

This is happening because we have migrated from standard mp4 video format to fragmented mp4. Because this is the way to allow the live stream feature work as video fragments are saved in realtime which also fixes the issue where if your phone crashes during recording or the phone is shutdown, the video still stays playable. Before it would get corrupted fully. You should use any video convertor app to convert to a standard mp4 format which can solve the seeking issue. Later there will be in-built convertor as well in FadCam in future.
4k in 60fps is a heavy config, and perhaps in this new format where tiny video fragments are saved incrementally to make the recording crash-proof, it seems like too heavy load on system. What you can try is to lower the bitrate by 50% or 60% and see if it makes it smoother.

Due to migration this can also be some breaking change, and you can try to uninstall and reinstall the app.

I've tried with all bit rates, from 130 all the way down to 5, the stuttering still appears, I'm using a flagship phone that came out 3 months ago, so I think it's an optimisation bug in the app more than my phone struggling, my phone can do 8k 30 or 4k 120 no problem in other apps

Can't reproduce this issue on my side but i will check 👍🏻 But is the stuttering happening all the time on all resolutions or just 4k? Also did you try uninstalling and reinstalling the app to test if recent migrations are causing issues?
I will try to optimize and look why this is happening but for me and other users its working fine, on discord a user also said its fine so its like a clueless issue at the moment.
