it is very slow to open hfss3dlayout

It's very slow when I use Hfss3dlayout to open hfss.electronics desktop strated on grpc port after 10 minutes. Do you know the reason?

Addition: I work on the Windows server. I'm not an administrator. It will take a lot of time to traverse the process.

When you open AEDT manually, how long does it take?

Which license setting are you using? Web based or with license manager?

It looks like you have a firewall issue, and maybe you need to request that your IT disable it, to avoid the overhead.

I tried locally, and I had 355 processes and it took 1.55 seconds.

So it means that there is something in your system that is slowing down this for loop.

It seems I have found the problem. If neither I nor the script user can obtain administrator privileges, it seems we can only accept the fact that starting AEDT is slow. :)

Hi, you can use python 3.10 or 3.12,

When you add this line: sys.path.append(r"ANSYSEM_ROOT252\PythonFiles\DesktopPlugin")

If the path is correct, you should have ScriptEnv there.

If you have more problems, please get in touch with the Ansys Technical support, and they will help you. Because this issue is difficult to reproduce.
