How do I make a mesh convergency study with line elements?

Hi again,
I have gotten really good answers in here earlier, so I was hoping you once again could help me.
I am trying to make a meh convergence study with some line elements, to check if the mesh is a good size. I do this by dividing the size of the line elements by 2 in each step and then registering the deformation at a specific point. My problem seem to just be that the deformation is almost exponentially getting bigger and bigger. Is there something I have misunderstood in the meshing process? Hope you guys can help. I have attached some parts of my code below.

UPDATE:
I definitely think I am experiencing a singularity, but then I am uncertain how to accomplish this convergence study, so if you guys have any advise, it would be so helpfull.

Hi @Deternanna this does not make me think meshing issue - my gut tells me that the load is applied as a force. Maybe a force that is applied to an increasing number of elements so the total load keeps increasing with increasing elements. Can you post the commands used to define the load(s)?

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the answer, yes I am applying the deformation as a force and that is also why I'm getting the contact point and therefore the singularity. I think I found a solution on my own. Thanks anyway though.
