Is Microsoft Foundry supported?

The Claude Code docs give instructions for configuring the CLI to use Microsoft Foundry credentials, but the Agent SDK docs only mention configuring with Bedrock or Google Vertex.

In my understanding, the SDK spawns the CLI as a subprocess, so I would expect environment variable configuration to work the same as with using the CLI normally. Is the discrepancy in documentation just that? Or does the SDK somehow not support Foundry configuration?

Yes, this is a gap in the docs that we're updating now. Foundry is supported via the information here.

@ashwin-ant great, thank you. There also seems to be a discrepancy between the Foundry base URL instructions and what the actual base URL for Claude models is in Foundry. Whereas the Claude Code docs say to use https://{resource}.services.ai.azure.com, I had to add /anthropic to the end to get it to work. Otherwise, I would get a 404: Resource not found error.
