Abstract

Add support for the PostGIS extension in CloudberryDB2.0

Motivation

According to the Cloudberry documentation, PostGIS only supports compilation and deployment on CentOS, while 2.0 no longer supports CentOS. It would be a great pity for such a well-known feature to be missing from Cloudberry.

Hi @ryapandt, now there is a new doc PR on how to build PostGIS under Rocky 8+9: apache/cloudberry-site#317.

I believe we have PostGIS 3.3.2 for Apache Cloudberry now, https://github.com/cloudberry-contrib/postgis
