Backups solution for ACS #10732

Hi everyone. I've read a lot of posts on this but I want to be sure, so I'm asking here: at the moment is there any backup solution for ACS that would allow file level restoration? Veeam is not an option since it seems to support only RHEL virtualization and the only solution that I found so far that has kvm backup at file level is the bdr suite from Vembu, even if it's not integrated into ACS it would be a solution at least. However the backups fail with a xml error, maybe because the domain xml is not in the "standard" format and has ACS info in there. So no luck yet. |

This feature is under development for backroll, there's still a lot to be done to ensure it meets production-ready standards. Regards, |

Hello, @tdtmusic2 I believe that currently there is no backup solution integrated with ACS that allows file extraction. I am working on a new native backup provider (i.e. no need for external plugins) for KVM that may be used with file-based storages (NFS, SharedMountPoint, Local storage) that will allow file extraction. However, this feature is still under development and might take a while to be complete. If you'd like, when the PR is open, I can ping you so you can test it yourself :) |
