When is Cordova iOS 8.0.0 getting released?

When is Cordova iOS 8.0.0 getting released so that app can be built with iOS 18 SDK or later, included in Xcode 16 or later.
Last time we got the below warning from apple.

`Although delivery was successful, you may want to correct the following issues in your next delivery. Once you've corrected the issues, upload a new binary to App Store Connect.

ITMS-90725: SDK version issue - This app was built with the iOS 17.5 SDK. Starting April 24, 2025, all iOS and iPadOS apps must be built with the iOS 18 SDK or later, included in Xcode 16 or later, in order to be uploaded to App Store Connect or submitted for distribution.`

You can use xcode 16 right now with cordova ios 7. Cordova ios 8 is not necessary to be SDK compliant.

But to answer your question, we don't provide release timelines due to the volunteer nature of apache cordova projects.

Just confirming, if we build it with cordova ios 7:

• iOS SDK will still be 17.X
• Xcode - 16.X
• assuming no other compliance issues with apple review.

The Cordova-iOS package does not define which SDK version the app is built with, so the version of Cordova-iOS does not affect the SDK version used.

The SDK version used to build the app depends on the version of Xcode installed. For example, Xcode 16 includes SDKs for iOS 18.

If you have Xcode 16 installed—and it's the only version available in your environment—then all apps built using either Xcode or the Cordova build command will be built with the iOS 18 SDK.
