I was invited to speak at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/research/group/gray-systems-lab/ which is a product focused R&D group at Microsoft
The talk is Tuesday June 25 at 10:30 AM PT at the the Microsoft Silicon Valley Campus (SVC)
Talk: Apache DataFusion: Implementing InfluxDB 3.0 (and other systems) without starting from "scratch"
In this talk, Andrew will describe the high level architecture of Apache DataFusion, and how it is used in InfluxDB 3.0's new high performance timeseries database engine. He will also describe how other systems use DataFusion, including Apache DataFusion Comet (a native Spark Runtime) The use of DataFusion provides fast and highly interoperable analytic systems without a tightly integrated codebase built from scratch.
