[MDEPLOY-64] Deploy to locale repository cuts the pom

Within the release process maven deploy the artifact to my locale repository. The Build is displayed as an successfull build. But my project pom which is delivered to the locale repository is cutted off after some lines (between line 80 and 95 - depends on my project). This happens for alle project i have released yet (3). How can i fix/ avoid this error?

You mean your local repository is the same as your repository configured in your distributionManagement ?
IMHO this configuration has not to be used! (currently that's why it failed)

I actually experience the same thing. I'm 'mavenifying' a third party library, so I'm using my local repository to deploy to as part of testing (I don't want to break build servers and other developers builds by deploying a dodgy pom file to our internal repo). The files seem to get cut off at exactly 4096 bytes. Had a scratch round some of the source but couldn't pinpoint exactly where this was occuring.

Would definately be a good feature for testing purposes before deploying to a centrally used repository.

The deploy plugin is meant to be used with a remote repository. Deploying to the local repository is not supported.

If you need to deploy to a temporary location, you can use a file:// url on the local filesystem, such as file://tmp/path/to/repo.

The Maven Install Plugin should be used to add artifacts to your local repository. See: http://maven.apache.org/plugins/maven-install-plugin/
