How to pass compiler arguments in the VSCode extension?

My project is using preview features, which means that I see errors like:

patterns in switch statements are a preview feature and are disabled by default.
(use --enable-preview to enable patterns in switch statements)(errors(1): 251:13-251:95)

However, I can't find a way to pass compiler arguments to the compiler. Looking at the "FEATURE CONTRIBUTIONS" tab of the extension in VSCode, there doesn't seem to be a setting that can be used to do this?

How should compiler arguments by set?
