If I see it correctly in a Multiple Range Timeline (rangeBar) type of charts, the Y axis spacing for the bars (bar height) works more or less as following:
That is, it creates a chart where the spacing for each category is the same, independently of whether a given series provides a value within the category.
This means that for e.g. a chart presenting 6 series (lets say 6 Business Units) containing 5 categories (lets say Product Category) one will find that the vertical height will be split in 30 sections, leading to very narrow bars - even if some series present no values for a given category.
It would be great - in my opinion - that one could specify a dynamic sizing of the x categories spacing, based effectively on the ranges falling in that category (not reserving space for irrelevant series) and/or even a fixed-sized column width.
