How do they differ and when would you use one over the other?

impit is actually a successor project of got-scraping. While got-scraping has served us well over the years, it couldn't keep up with new anti-bot measures. We have not implemented new features in got-scraping for some time now, and we're planning to eventually fully sunset it in favor of impit.

impit offers much authentic browser impersonation, including correct HTTP headers order, matching TLS fingerprints, or (experimental) HTTP3 support.

As a bonus, we are building impit bindings for Node.JS and Python, so you can use it from either of the languages.
