Oh man how awesome is this!
This returns null in URP though:
var stack = camera.GetComponent<UnityEngine.Rendering.Universal.UniversalAdditionalCameraData>().volumeStack;

Any ideas?

Hi, what is null specifically? the camera, the camera data component or the volumeStack? In general, I think URP should add the component and initialize the volumeStack automatically.

It turns out UnityEngine.Rendering.VolumeManager.instance.stack works better in URP. This might mix up the game camera with the scene camera but should work fine in builds. Looks like they reset the camera's volumeStack to null after updating it for some reason...
