macs support AVB (Audio Video Bridging) which is a lossless opensource method to do exactly what you're asking. I sort of got it working on a couple of older macs a while back, but I believe you have a get an AVB capable hub - and they are out there. Not cheap but not horrendous. You'd have to look up how to do all that on youtube - some interesting videos about it. I can't remember exactuly how I was doing it. |

Ok thanks, sounds interesting and I’ll definitely look into it. I’ve been experimenting with AUNetSend and AUNetReceive which are Apple native plugins within Logic Pro. They do allow the transfer of audio over ethernet so that’s promising but I’ve encountered occasional latency and a couple of other glitchy behaviours, thus my enquiry here. I haven’t given up on them yet but I’ll also do some research on AVB. Maybe those plugins are actually based on it in some way, seems possible. |

I am wondering if AG could be of help in my situation. I have an M2 Mac running Tahoe so I can’t use my firewire audio interface with it anymore. I also have an Intel Mac which will still recognise the interface so I am looking for a way to channel the audio output from Logic on the Tahoe machine to the Intel one, possibly also running Logic, so that I can hear and mix etc. projects through it. Could AG help me do this? I have VEP which can’t do it. Thanks.
