This GitHub App is used by the Redis OSS Release Automation system running on a dedicated AWS EC2 instance.
It provides secure, short-lived installation tokens that allow the release automation tool to trigger GitHub Actions workflows, download build and publish artifacts, and read repository metadata required during the release process.
The app is installed on all Redis packaging and release-related repositories and authenticates through AWS IAM and OIDC instead of long-lived tokens, ensuring automated, auditable, and secure integration between AWS and GitHub during Redis OSS releases.
