Family Tree Angular Application

A dynamic family tree application(original repo: https://github.com/bilolkobilov/family-tree) built using Angular. This project allows users to visualize and interact with a family tree, with features such as search, zooming in/out and dragging to explore different family members.

Features

  • Search by name: Regenerating family tree with search name as root.
  • Zooming: Zoom in and out of the family tree using mouse wheel scrolling.
  • Dragging: Move the family tree around by clicking and dragging with the mouse.
  • Dynamic Family Structure: Supports multiple family members with hierarchical relationships.

Technologies Used

  • Angular: Framework used for building the front-end.
  • HTML/CSS: For rendering the tree structure and styling.
  • TypeScript: For the application logic.
  • SCSS: For advanced styling and tree layout adjustments.

Installation

To run the project locally, follow these steps:

  1. Clone the Repository:

    git clone https://github.com/aramovic79/ramovic-tree.git && code ./family-tree

  2. Install Dependencies: Make sure you have Node.js installed, then run:

    npm install

  3. Start the Development Server:

    ng serve

    The application will be available at http://localhost:4200.

How to Use

  • Search: Enter a name in the Pretraga po imenu... search textbox.
  • Zoom: Use the mouse wheel to zoom in or out of the family tree.
  • Drag: Click and hold the mouse to drag the tree and explore different parts.
