Hello, I did a quick search but didn't find anything on the matter.
It would be useful for most users to be able to configure cache cleaning during install. Especially new users who would use archinstall may not be aware of this and end up with lots of space wasted over time. Paccache could be used for this (it's in pacman-contrib) as it includes a systemd service and timer. Service defaults to running "paccache -r" which leaves 3 (current + 2 older) package versions and the timer defaults to weekly cleaning. Maybe these things could be configured too, asking the user how many packages versions they want to keep (e.g. paccache -rk1,2,3), if they want to remove cache for uninstalled packages (paccache -ruk0 would remove those) and how often they would like the service to run (weekly, monthly).
