When should I install bottle-imp?

Hello, I've been using bottle-imp for years since the previous "genie" project. My WSL was Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, then I made a system upgrade to 22.04 instead of installing everything again, and my question is simple:

Nowadays, after all MS updates on WSL2, integrations with Windows, VSCode, etc, when should I install bottle-imp? I have a laptop at work where I'm currently developing more frequently with VSCode and WSL2 with Ubuntu 24.04, and I haven't had the need to install bottle-imp yet.

Should I install it only when I want to install systemd-dependent services in WSL2, or are there other reasons to install it?
