Vox is more necessary

It's not a good idea to remove Vox from the new versions. There are more unnecessary features that can be removed to free up space.

Second, this is not really an issue but rather a matter for the Discussions section, which is why I moved your post there.

Regarding VOX: it’s still available in the Broadcast FM and RescueOps editions. Its removal from the Basic (since a long time) and Bandscope editions was decided after a vote, where more than 90% of users agreed to drop it.

If you need VOX, which uses a lot of memory space, you can still use an earlier release (v4.0). And of course, if you feel other features are unnecessary, you’re always free to recompile your own firmware to match your specific needs.
