I have been successful in building and packaging this for Arch Linux. I assume that they have made a lot of changes quite recently. I simply followed the readme inside the paint folder. The only hard part was making it always find the data dir. Here is my patch: |

If you are interested in trying this product please be advised. This product CANNOT be installed on modern Linux systems and should be avoided.
If you are you using Linux then unfortunately there is no stable way of building this program.
The reason is that the information provided to build this is either:
out of date
incorrect
misleading
poorly chosen frameworks with little accurate information in their own right. See the Haxe language for examples.
As it stands Substance Painter is still the best bet.
