Port to modern .NET

Hi,
I gave porting this great library to C# a try, using latest .NET 8 + 10 as target.

This was more an experiment as anything; I used GitHub copilot for almost all the coding, which was pretty interesting to say the least.

• The project should have all the unit tests. Although I had to compromise with the comparison tests to match exactly the C++ version, because reasons.
• nice XAML version of the viz UI.
• benchmarks using BenchmarkDotNet

Just wanted to let you know in case you keep track of those things.

I hope I did everything right in regards to the license.

And, I created a small project to compare some libraries against each other.
Just started working on that, but I was surprised that the C# version is on-par or even faster in performance than the original 😕
But I'm also not very good with C++, so it is possible that I'm doing something stupid which makes it a bit inefficient? 😄 ; plus maybe some wrapper overhead?
