I tend to use aliases to handle plurals, acronyms, and all sorts of other duplicate namings for searchability.

Without aliases you have to manually make index pages which are a pain.

Any willingness to support these?

Thanks for raising this! I'm open to consider this feature as a contribution but personally it's unlikely that I'll have time to work on this.
